Smiles around the Eastern Shore

The doctors and staff at Eastern Shore Dental Care are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual “Smiles from the Heart” – A Free Day of Dentistry happening at their office in Chester, Maryland on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 8:00am.

For one day only, indivduals 16-&-older without access to affordable dental care will be able to receive select treatments at NO CHARGE. Patients will have X-rays taken and then be able to choose 1 of the following procedures: Hygiene cleaning, extraction or filling.

WE WILL DO OUR VERY BEST TO TREAT THE FIRST 100 PATIENTS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS STARTING AT 8AM. Same day walk-in visits only. No appointment times can be reserved ahead of time

In May 2014, the practice formerly known as Billings & Murphy, DDS held their first-ever free day of dentistry as a way to give back to the Eastern Shore community –which has been home to the practice for over 30 years. The event has been a huge success, with over 200 individuals treated AT NO COST TO THE PATIENTS in the last two years.

As the number of Americans without dental insurance continues to grow, Dr. Billings and Dr. Murphy, along with their colleagues, recognize the need to continue hosting this event each year. Said Dr. Billings, “Giving back to this amazing community is something that everyone in our office is extremely passionate about. Dr. Murphy and myself feel so fortunate to have such a dedicated staff, who not only volunteer their time and services to those in need year-round, but who also have worked tirelessly to make this event happen for the past three years.”

Dr. Billings also said the outpouring of support from the community has been key in making this event an annual tradition. “There would be no ‘Smiles from the Heart’ without the support of so many other local businesses here on the Shore — those who donate supplies, signs, food, water, chairs, and so much more so that we can focus on treating over a 100 patients in 8 short hours.  It is, by far, our busiest working day of the year — and also the most rewarding. We are so excited and thankful for the opportunity to host this event for the third straight year!”
