If you have had an appointment in our newly expanded treatment area, you probably noticed the beautiful photography hung in each operatory. Over a dozen framed black and white images of scenes captured around the Chesapeake Bay in the 20th century are the work of renowned Maryland photographer, A. Aubrey Bodine (1906-1970).
Bodine was a photographer and photojournalist for the Baltimore Sun for fifty years. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Bodine has published many books containing his now-famous pictures including, “My Maryland” (1952), and “Chesapeake Bay and Tidewater” (1954).
We feel the images chosen to hang in our renovated office space are the best representation of the values and lifestyle here on the Eastern Shore. There’s a familiarity in each scene that everyone living in this area can relate to – i.e. waterman picking crabs, or a boat going under Bay Bridge.
We hope our patients like the new décor and enjoy seeing the photographs up close when they are here are receiving treatment.
